Running from chaos

'Chaos' Reigns in Iraq, Speaker Pelosi Says

Consider, Nancy Pelosi considers "insurgents" in Afghanistan killing men, women, children, and US and coalition troops as part of the war on terror and worthy of the sacrifice of American lives to keep the peace. But "insurgents" in Iraq killing men, women, children, and US and coalition troops is not a part of the war on terror and not worthy of the sacrifice of American lives to keep the peace. Why?

Why is declaring the situation in Iraq "chaos" and then demanding that we run away from it as quickly as possible seen as preferable to restoring order? What kind of foreign policy is that? How exactly is sending a US general to Iraq who wants to increase troop levels there and then telling anyone who will listen that you want to vote to cut off funding for troops in Iraq supportive of the American military?

I'm asking because I really would like to know.

  1. Sam, there are a couple of posts about Nanny Pelosi's diareha of the mouth at sayanything and powerline, and I beleive Capn Ed has smacked her too. She done been caught talking out both sides of her mouth today.

  2. Pelosi's order of priorities/loyalties goes something like this:

    1. Re-election
    2. Political Party

    ...

    1,487. Country

  3. I've always thought that the term "surrender monkeys" was a bit harsh and over the top when it was applied to Democrats. But now they seem to be actively trying to make the term apply to themselves and not a few Republicans (who are desperately trying to cover their butts) are jumping on the band wagon with them.
