Thankful Thursday

Yeah it's actually Friday but still, today I am thankful for/that:
  1. Clothes washers and dryers. The kids have been jumping into a lot of muddy puddles this week.

  2. Warm days to go for a walk and play in the park.

  3. Ethan didn't get hit when he took running across the mall parking lot yesterday.

  4. Isaiah in underwear.

  5. Nasal decongestants, they may have saved me from a sinus infection.

  6. The reddish stuff I found in Isaiah's ear the other morning turned out to be liquid eyeshadow.

The teenager who joked with me over physics and algebra homework tonight was 6 months old the morning of September 11, 2001. He spent that day like many other 6 month olds spend their days, exploring his world and being saved from his own curiosity by mom. I've been doing research into autism, dyspraxia, how the normal brain works, and how an autistic/dyspraxic brain works (or doesn't work). Traumatic injury to different parts of the brain can cause the same problems suffered by autistic and dyspraxic children.
